The Barrhörner

Seen from just south of the Schöllijoch, on the trail to the Schöllihorn. The trail to the Barrhörner is easy to spot, and if you look closely, you can also see the signpost on the Schöllijoch. But what's not visible, and hard to imagine, is that there is also a trail going to the right, down the cliffs! Although I must admit that I'm exaggerating when I call that a trail: it's a short, exposed scrambling route, but on the bright sight it is well secured with steel cables and a ladder. According to a guidebook I consulted later, that route is graded F+. Hikers might want use the cables to clip in. 20 July 2012.
