The Black Cuillins From Blaven

The Black Cuillins From Blaven

This is my first attempt at creating a panorama from 2 or more photos. It is actually based on 3 old transparencies that I took over 20 years ago, so no one can accuse me of rushing! I've wanted to do this for a long time, but never had either the technology or know how. It doesn't stand up to really close scrutiny, but I think it does give an impression of the most spectacular mountains in Britain.

Thanks

Thanks for posting this. I'd hoped to climb this ridge a couple years ago but after waiting a week for a good day ended up just hiking the highest peak in the rain and thick fog. Needless to say, I never really saw the mountains!

Re: Thanks

The weather on Skye is such a lottery Rob. I've had similar weeks to yours, when you get fed up and end up trudging up into the clag just for the hell of it. But luckily I've also had weeks of sunshine, and even a few great winter days with decent snow. I hope you get chance to get back there some day, but you've got a lot further to travel than I have!

Great editing

Tried to do the same myself John but unfortunately my shots (from Drum Hain) took in too much haze.
cheers Johnnie
