When glancing at the dates of your trip, I didn't expect the details that followed. I enjoyed the recounting of your adventure and also appreciate the historical aspects. I look forward to exploring east of Courtright and Wishon this year after years of dayhiking with dogs kept most of my wanderings outside the national park boundaries.
Thanks so much, Sean! Thank goodness I actually bought a typewriter shortly after that trip just so I could write an account of it- especially the Crown Creek mishap. Otherwise I would have surely forgotten a lot of the details after so many years.
