The Dune Climb

The Dune Climb

No visit to Sleeping Bear Dune National Lakeshore is complete without an "ascent" of the Dune Climb. It's normally crawling with tourists slogging up, and teenagers running down. We saw somebody in a burqa last time, with temps in the mid-80s (F) -- not something I'd care to do. Beyond the top of the Dune Climb, the crowds slow down on the Dunes Trail. June 2007.

THANK YOU...

What an amazing area! I'll be posting some images I recently took at Coral Pink Sand Dunes in S. Utah - the comparison is quite remarkable! So these are located near Glen Lake - I'll have to examine the topo. The dunes in Utah can be experienced when they have snow on them, & the weather still stays normally mild during the day. AMAZING DUNES!
