Why we climb...

OK, the sky is a bit washed out if we want to be completely critical, but this reminded me of something I read once: The commitment of the mountaineer ... I wish to fulfill myself in dance, not in words. Walking skillfully along the top of the world we may receive a priceless vista...

Re: Why we climb...

Nelson, I actually submitted this shot a little darker, SP lightened it up a bit. The benefit here is that Jim shows up better, so I'll keep it the way it is. Submitting these average shots was not easy considering all the hoopla I recieved from my Marcellina shots. In the end, I wanted to maintain this mountain and in time want to maintain the entire Three Apostles massif here on SP. Look for better bigger and brighter pages in the weeks to come. Thanks for the comment.

Re: Why we climb...

This is still an above-average shot! Considering the exposure latitude you were facing here, I'm not sure how you could have done much better. Agree that having Jim visible is what makes the photo. Nice work. See ya around.

beautiful

Thia is an absolutely beautiful shot! Shows some of the difficulty nicely with a great pan.
