The final scramble to the St'auk Mountain viewpoint

The final scramble to the St'auk Mountain viewpoint. About 10' of low-exposure, class 5 climbing is required, but it is well worth the effort. The best method is to use a 'chimney' technique between the large tree and the rock face. If one was really concerned about the downclimb, 20' of rope could be looped over a branch to help in the descent. For most people, this will not be necessary. This viewpoint is located at N47 01.601 W121 27.665, about one-third mile S/SE from the true summit.
