The Hispar Wall on the south side of the Hispar Glacier

Our porters are just visible in the botton-left corner of the photo giving a sense of scale. Along the north side of the Hispar Glacier there are numerous small meadows such as the one pictured. Peaks from right to left are P 6041m, P 6031m, Haigutum East (5783m), Gloster Peak (5962m), P 6243m, P 6102m, with Baintha Brakk (a.k.a. the Ogre)(7285m) in the distance. (Coordinates are for P 6041m in the foreground on th right)

How many stages

Pete did you say how many stages it was to this area? And the approach is along the northern edge of the glacier?

What an amazing place. That must've been a great trip, just to be there. How many days did you give yourself for approach, map/climb, and getting back?

We arrived at BC early on the fourth day from Hispar village. Returning it's easily possible in 2 days. Approach allow the Northern side. We had the whole summer but think we were at BC for 2-3 weeks (we were already fully acclimatised). Not sure how many stages. Number seems to steadily grow.
