Small as a Matches box!I know ecuadorian refuges are not the best, and probably this one could be one of the worst refuges, it's small as a matches box, dirty and cold. Nuevos Horizontes Mountaineering Club members rented it to a local from the town of El Chaupi (owner of Llovizna Hostal). Wladimir has a great customer service atitude and he could help you in case some issue occurs, which I hope not.

Is not as bad as it seems.You can have a really bad night if the refuge is over crowded, but it really feels like the best place to be at if the refuge happens to be fairly crowded and if one of your plans is to hit Illiniza Sur or both peaks at the same time.
