Stop everyone else's photography look so bad Dow lol! Just kidding. Awesome photo.
Ridiculous! Why are your photos always so good? Such beautiful country, no clear-cuts in sight. I'm always jealous, your photos always make me want to go there. Excellent photograph Dow.
Thanks Scotty, the Canadian Rockies makes taking photos easy. Hope you do come for a visit. Love showing the place off. Cheers!
done. This photo is great!
This is a perfect photograph as far as I am concerned. Gorgeous scenery, great contrast. It would be a hard one for anyone to top. Good work!!
already 5 starred it before it became famous :o)) It´s still worth another high 5 though!
... when you first posted it. Glad to see it now. Fantastic shot.
duper. very very cool..
Thats it I can't take anymore! If i see one more beautiful pic of the Rockies I'm going to explode! I'm going, thats all there is to it.
thanks attm, yeah, I am used to it....I imagine they will want to fix that shortcoming one of these days...cheers
Unreal...I must go...I must. If you had to choose, would it be here, or Glacier National???? Also, did you use a digital for that shot? I just got a Canon Digital Rebel with a 70-200mm 4 L series lense. Will I be able to take that quality???
I lugged a 35 mm up on this climb Ken, but the Canadian Rockies makes everyone's work look good. So I am sure you will be pleased with your shots on a digital. I love Glacier National, but normally to crowded for me. Mountain of the Sun road can be a full on jam in the summer. Campgrounds are packed. The four national parks, Banff, Yoho, Kootney and Jasper along with all the provincial parks, particularly Kananaskis make for much larger and more wild country. But if you end up in Glacier National, make sure you spend quality time in Waterton NP. Tons of scrambles for the summer and solid ice climbing in the winter. Of course there is Glacier National Park in Canada which is over by the bugaboos....that is most locals favorite alpine climbing around here. Perhaps that was what you were referencing. Can't go wrong with any of it. Thanks for the compliments on the photo Ken. Cheers!
a beautiful and wild place ..well done:)
Too bad I probably don't make it back to Canada in 2006 :-(
(A 'Euro' who just upvoted it :-))
Thanks Henning, hope all is well with you, had a horned owl hooting last night on Canmore Creek behind our house......been awhile since we heard that...quite a treat..cheers
Man this picture looks unreal! Perfect exposure, nice composition.
It is a real colour of this lake, then this picture is well suited to the album!!!
I have only driven through Yoho -- I know a true shame -- but the area's beauty impressed me enough to warrant a return, and soon! Good work capturing the beauty of the place.
Thanks. The President and V. President are easy glacier climbs, but worthy for the huge loop trail (Ice Highline) to access them. The rock (including a full tunnel) or ice route (must ski in to access it in winter) on Takakkaw Falls are both unique routes if you get the chance as well. Cheers
fantastic view and top quality photo, the colour of the water down there is incrredible, superb.
