The Rödelberg massive by Vorderweidenthal : atomical !
RÖDELBERG (or Rödelstein) : this name of a very big and high, savage rocky formation of the Palatinate, is legendar, charged of history ... This is one of the first palatian rocks, which were climbed. Already before 1900, was this site climbed and bouldered ! How was this possible, we ignore this still today, but the performance of reaching the main summit at the beginning of the 20th century was exceptionnal and considerated as a big challenge ... With a maximal height of 58 meters, is the Rödelstein over Vorderweidenthal, considerated like one of the highest and impressivest rocks of the Palatinate. The site is perfectly and savagely visible from the valley, and especially, from the charmant and picturesque village of Vorderweidenthal ! The general view of the site, the one that you can contemplate on this picture here over, is certainly one of the most beautiful of all the region ! A huge and great success, for everybody, hikers and climbers, lovers of a very wild and impressive nature ... To see and to visit absolutely, in emergency !
