I've often looked at this point as I drove up to the top of the pass from the east, but never stopped. Usually, it was late in the afternoon and I was coming back from other exhausting adventures with just 'getting home' on my mind. At least now I know this was likely beyond my abilities, but I still regret not discovering this for myself.

Thanks for the encouraging comments. Don't shy from trying this peak if you have the time and interest. Even if the moves below the summit sound out of your range, you probably could make one or more of the other summits as long as you are careful about the loose rock.
