The standard view of Kawaikini
Although this looks like the savannahs of Africa, Kauai's highest peak, Kawaikini, is actually looming almost 5,000' above where this photo was taken. One of the wettest places on Earth, you can rarely see the mountain from this vantage point. - 08 Aug 2007
