The Zugertal valley behind Lech

Seen from the summit of the Rüfispitze. The Zugertal is a beautiful mountain valley in the Lechquellengebirge. The village of Zug was founded by the Walser. The whole area behind it is under natural protection and beautifully preserved. The peaks in view, from left to right, are: Omesberg (2558m), Schafberg (2681m), Rote Wand (2704m), Johanneskopf (2507m) and Braunarlspitze (2651m). Way in the distance one can still make out the Säntis (2504m) in Switzerland.
