This pic, taken from near point 8975 shows the SW Ridge route. The gendarmes are bypassed on the left but this pic really doesn't show the actual steepness nor chossiness of the ridge. The ridge puts you in the middle of both Webber Peak and Scott Peak . This pic is meant to show the route up. A bit of forest gives some shade and the elevation gain from where this pic was taken to the ridge is roughly 2200 feet. 8-11-05
