This shot of K2 was taken from the south side of the Baltoro Glacier (where Vigne Glacier joins it), looking straight up the Godwin Austen Glacier. It looks like a morning's walk to base camp from this point but its actually a 2-day hike. The peak on the left of the photo is Marble Peak (6256m). July 1992, mid afternoon.

NICE

Beautiful shot of a big, nasty (and gorgeous) mountain. K2 looks quite imposing. When you mention the 2 day hike to base camp, the mountain suddenly grows to its tremendous size in this pic. Stunning!
