This was taken from the shores of Lake of Many Winds. The route up Boulder-Grand Pass can be seen just to the right of the upper-left snowfield. I wouldn't say that Talus is the problem here, however, sand IS. This is a very sandy section of the climb, and is just as frustrating coming down as going up. At least there are good views while you dump out your shoes! 25 June, 2002
