Independence Day bag. Nice forests flanking this hill, the Ob tower is the real MVP.
Good views, easy hike
Beautiful fall day. Fog had lifted just in time.
Able to make this a sporting 2 mile loopish hike starting at the SE corner of Bass Lake. Climbed both summit towers, nice views. Trip Report
Great views from the summit tower! Like most summits in Wisconsin, the thick forest would otherwise obscure any view of the surrounding area, except where observation towers exist. Mosquitoes were active, so they kept me moving on the trails. Looking forward to a return in the autumn for the fall colors.
Day trip out of Chippewa Falls with Maria. This was her first time on Timm's Hill, and my second. Mostly sunny and humid. We climbed the wooden tower, I considered climbing the steel tower, but I decided not to. It looks like some trees have been cleared from the summit area since the last time I was here, you could see the top of the wood tower from the Hill of Beans this time.
1. Super weather
2. Glorious views
3. A short climb to the top
4. Need more signage indicating the location of trailhead.
Short snowy hike which was half on paved road and the other half up a short hill. The summit tower at the top offers great panoramic views of dairyland.
This was #4 on a 16 high point trip!
Cooler temperatures had dropped in and the clouds were very low. There was a nice humid drizzle going on and the fall colors were spectacular. This was absolutely amazing! Absolutely loved the tower to help get a vantage point over the tall trees, although didn't get to see much because of the overcast skies. But coming out of the thick trees, and seeing the towers, was awe inspiring.
Nice stroll and tower at the top. Nice views!
Ignore the TImms Hill Trail the road passes on the way into the parking lot!
Had fun finding it. Love the lookout tower.
No one would take my picture with a Seahawks flag.
Just barely got here before the park closed at dusk. Took a couple really nice sunset photos. Climbed the top of the wooden structure, which is well worth it. Also saw a black bear and two porcupines just outside this park.
Drove up from Georgia.
Nice little 1.5 mile roundtrip jaunt in the snow. Then off to Hill O Beans for coco!
Drove up here the afternoon after hiking Arvon. I noticed that some of the trails in the park are maintained by the local high school's cross-country team, which brought back memories. Imagine running hill repeats up your state's high point... Anyway, great weather and lovely views from the top.
Final third of a highpointing trilogy through the midwest. It was peaceful and scenic and I enjoyed walking along the lake on the way back. #26
