Just guessing at the date - climbed this way back when I was in grad school at Berkeley. Memorable because there were thunderclouds looming, and when we went to shake hands, sparks arced between our fingertips. We came down fast...
With Anderson Peak via PCT
With Anderson Peak from Donner Pass area.
Nice dayhike on the Granite Chief trail out of Squaw Valley. Was a fairly popular destination as there were ~10 people up on the peak just in the 40ish minutes I was there.
Climbed Mt. Judah, Anderson Peak, and Tinker Knob.
4th Peak of the day - Granite Chief, Needle, Lyon, Tinker Knob, & Anderson.
After climbing Granite Chief with Tommey (and doing English in the morning). The rerouted trail added unexpected time and mileage to the hike.
Part of a long day of peakbagging that included Tinker, Anderson, Donner, Judah, Lincoln, Castle, and Andesite.
Pics and commentary are here.
Came up via the PCT, over Anderson then up to Tinker Knob. This was during the height of the Rim Fire in Yosemite, so views and the air quality were both poor. TR is HERE
Like McCannster, below, only on snowshoes. Also visited the peak in Feb, 2004 from Squaw Valley.

Date approx. Linked this, Donner Peak, Judah, and Anderson on a beautiful fall day. One of the nicest stretches of trail anywhere.
This was the 5th Peak my wife and I climbed during our vacation in northern Tahoe. We drove high up Cabin Creek Road and hiked up to the PCT from there. We first summitted Anderson Peak, then did Tinker Knob on the way back.
