To Gravelbar Creek and Beyond
Gravelbar Creek, which is actually pretty hard to see in this picture unless you click on it and use the magnifier, is a good 3000' below. In the foreground is the top of one of many pinnacles that can make reaching the long alpine ridge high above Gravelbar tricky. On the right is what in my mind I referred to as "The Great Red Slope," part of one of the better-looking spurs up from Gravelbar Creek, though clearly, as can be seen from other positions, not without its own difficulties.
