Long day out with a combination of Olivieri and Aglio ferratas on way up and descent along Lamon and Formenton. Weather was fine, not so many people on the trails.
Climbed it in 1 day up & down all on foot from the camping in Cortina d'Ampezzo by the via ferrata Giuseppe Olivieri. Then over the Tofana di Dentro and the via ferratas Lamon and Fermenton, back down to the camping.
We did a via ferrata loop starting from Rif. A. Dibona, to Rif. Pomedes, Giuseppe Olivieri and Gianni Aglio to Tofana di Mezzo, ferrata Lamon to Tofana di Dentro and back via Ra Valles
Best day of my summer vacation 2016! Girlfriend and I started from Rif. Dinoa, passed Rif. Pomedes and then climbed all the ferratas to the summit. Weather was perfect. We could see Grossglockner and Grossvenediger!! Took cable car down, and then hiked back to Pomedes and Dibona.
...from cable car.
via ferrata Olivieri and Aglio
Just took the cable car... nothing compared to an honest climb. But the position up there is still breathtaking.
A beautiful day, starting at Rif. Guissani taking Ferrata Olivieri/Ferrata Aglio to Tofana di Mezzo. Continuing using Ferrata Lamon to Tofana di Dentro.
Through Giuseppe Olivieri & Gianni Aglio vie ferratae.
from and to Rifugio Pomedes along the via ferrate over Punta Anna. then traverse to Tofana di Dentro. Descent to ski Cortina Sku runs and back to Rifugio Pomedes traversing at the foot of the mountain. A sunny morning but then clouds and some showers with some cm snow.
Started from Pié Tofana (1668 m). Walked up to Tofana di Dentro. From Tofana di Dentro we crossed to Tofana di Mezzo, via the Ferrata Lamon. We descended to Col Druscié with the cabin lift, and from there we walked back to the car that stayed at Pié Tofana.
As we got back at 3:30 p.m. to our camping site in Cortina, after an hour's rest I decided to go to the mountains again, and I climbed the peaks Ra Gusela and Nuvolau as 2 extras. A total 2340 m elevation gain in a single day. Personal top record up to now.
