Not necessarysee all SP photos in order by descending score
(just click on Images in the blue bar at the top of every page)

Re: Not necessaryHow do you think I built the page? However, If someone searches (newbies) stuff like, "best photos" or Top Photos, or top 100. They can find this. That, and because the top 100 is always changing, and those top 15 are presented larger. And, if someone is just searching through photos, if its attached to this album (at the bottom right when viewing a picture) they know its one of the BEST on SP. Almost a reward for quality images I think...and these photographers I am now adding to the page so others can see their work.

That was how I noticed this album when I saw that one of my images had made this list. I am honored. Thanks, Tie-Dye Mike!

Re: Not necessarySome nice photo-related SP enhancement ideas:
* Make this gallery auto-updating and a core feature
* "My SP Favorites" as the user's top-rated photos
* Add "photos I have voted on" as a checkbox search criteria (for quickly finding new photos)

Coming Along Nicely!Tie-Dye Mike--This is coming along quite nicely. I wonder, have you considered making a table on the page? That could help sort out the name listing. In fact, I did it on the Worth Another Look custom object to permit me to control what order the images appear. It'd be some effort, but you would put the name and the image(s) from one photographer together. If you're interested and need help, let me know and I could send you the code I used.

Re: Hello Mike!I can see where it would be a lot of work to maintain this page over time. You should consider perhaps doing monthly updates. The top images can be found here:

Re: Hello Mike! The owner is still around. He just hasn't been maintaining the album as much as was stated in the descripton. It is out of date now. Perhaps your reminder will help.

Re: Hello Mike!Actually it has, thank you, sorry still a student going to school and working, time for sitting on the computer updating SP pages is not the top of my priorities. But I will, and in my own defense, in the winter, I was keeping it up to date about every week. But I will change what was initially described to every month.
Thanks and sorry about the delays, I haven't even added my Spring Break trip report from my highpointing in KS and OK.
Cheers, and safe climbing
Mike

Ok, its getting betterSorry on the long delay, but its slowly becoming updated, thank you Natural for the heads up, it at least got my attention and the proper result of me fixing this page...but it is only half done, so bear with me, I do have a few days off for a while now and I'll see what I can finish.
Thanks all for your votes and constant eyes, this I still ask for since I don't always have my priorities straight according to Alpinist!!! Ha Ha Ha!!!
Check back next week and it should all be done

Have to Agree with first commentCan't see the point of this page either. The search engine automatically orders photos in quality order and is always up-to-date. Only difference is that you are going to have to update this page for the rest of your life! It takes one click of the "images" heading and you get these photos so an easier method of viewing them is hardy justified. In fact most people would find your album harder to find amongst the million albums on SP. The top 15 photos being slightly larger is also a poor justificaion for this page.

Re: Have to Agree with first commentWell, it has to do more with the honor of being a member of SP who uploads QUALITY images...And can you search through each persons profile immediatly? Sorry, But it stays, Like Mark said, he was honored to be considered to be in the top 100. Maybe add some good shots, and you might make the list yourself. Maybe if I had more than two opinions on whether this page should exist or not, I might care, till then, You and one other are the only two on the entire site that thinks this is pointless. Is the "Photo of the Week" album also pointless? 95% of these shots were once photo of the week, so maybe we should get rid of that album instead right? Whatever, down-vote if you want, but it stays till I get an overwhelming response to have it removed or the elves do it. Till then, I'll continue to take the positive comments of the others who have voted and commented. By the way, your the ONLY 5/10 so maybe you should re-think you distaste of this album and its importance. 53/54 have given it a 10/10, just your one 5 is the only non 10 vote...so sorry, majority wins, and find something else to bitch about. Oh, its also one of the top albums on the site, so explain your theory on why it shouldn't be here again?? Right now its ranked 16th of all the albums on SP...so think about it.
Cheers,
Mike

Re: The Best Album!Thank you for the comment. I'm really sorry about not updating lately, I'm in my last semester of college, and time is not of the essence in SP land. As soon as I graduate, I promise it will be updated more often. Thanks for the reminder...
Salute,
Mike
