Nice pictureNice late afternoon light. You were on top of what I call the "Middle Gemstone," looking northwest at the "West Gemstone." The "East Gemstone" is on the southeast side of Gem Lake. All three of the "Gemstones" summits are delightful scrambles.
Actually, the highest point of Lumpy Ridge is The Needle, 10,068 ft., located at the west end of the ridge.
