Tree Climber

A male Desert Spiny Lizard Photographed in Fletcher Canyon of the Spring Mountains, Nevada in April 2007. In a female blue markings are very weak or absent. These lizards are good rock and tree climbers but can be found also on the ground. They will bite when captured!

Thank you. I was hoping to get closer, but he ran straight up the tree right after this shot. I see these species very rarely.
