Silvia,...this is a wonderful photo. I enjoy nothing more than to see friendly interaction between different species in the wild, and not so wild, kingdom.
Cheers, and ciao,
Marc

Re: Silvia,...How do you know Marc, that this marmot is not so wild?
And, yes, a wonderful picture!

Re: Silvia,...Oh, I know that this marmot is wild. But, when the interaction between humans and the wildlife becomes so close, then the separation becomes more obscure. When an animal allows a person to get so close, then that animal is not completely wild. Without getting much more philosophical about it, bottom line for me is, humans are a part of the animal kingdom and friendly interaction between different species, humans and animals, is important, and in my book, welcome.

Re: Silvia,...Hi Marc and Vid,
a nice meet indeed, but probably this marmot is not completely wild. It stayed very close to the path and didn't escape as all marmots usually do. Probably the interaction between humans and it has been too close. Anyhow, my friends couldn't approach it so much as you can see in the picture! This fact made me very glad!
Thanks for your messages.
Cheers, Silvia
