Nice run up early morning with the dogs, day before I turned 33.
Beautiful clear morning before the sun got too hot.
After 47 inches of received in the few days prior, this was amazing! Snowshoed up to the top and boarded down. So much powder. Almost too much powder!
Nice 2 hour hike with the whole family.
Skinned up in the morning for some excellent corn on the way down. Nice views of the Sisters.
Excellent lighter hike. I never got the full amount of views but I got some decent views of Mount Bachelor. Beat the surprise rainstorm on the way down.
awesome little snowshoe to celebrate Easter! :-) still lots of snow.
Trail still pretty much snow covered. Lost the trail on the way up after a few hundred yards, but the hike up is straight forward. Perfect weather and great views.
Snowshoed Tumalo with two climbing buddies of mine before we set off to climb Mt. Mcloughlin. Did entire hike from Dutchman Flat in a 1h 45min. Excellent views.
crazy afternoon, poor visibility and windy but a lot of fun none the less
A fun snowshoe/snowboard
Quick afternoon hike up with Mai-Anh. Hiked Black Butte earlier in the morning. Great view of broke top, south sister and bachelor. Drove to Crater Lake afterwards.
It was a very relaxing trip! Climbed up to the summit to watch the sunset. Set up camp just below the summit and enjoyed the night by watching the endless stars!
Nice, short morning hike. Well worth the 60-90 minutes it takes for the round trip (without snow). Beautiful views from the summit.
A nice short and worthwhile hike with a fantastic view as reward.
Exact date a guess. I was working at a drill rig near Bend, and had some off-time while the well was cased. We met a great fellow on top, who convinced us to climb South Sister with him later on.
Snowshoed up the approximate route of the Tumalo Mountain Trail, never felt like I was on a trail though. Conditions were; 5 feet of deep soft snow, had to break trail the entire way, moderate snow falling with white out conditions and high winds at summit. Trip took 3.60 hours round trip.
Snowshoed from dutch flats, perfect weather, some amazing views of the sisters and broken top.
Solo hike. Beautiful day, temps in the 50's and sunny, little wind. About a foot of snow on average. Started on the trail but lost that early on, then just took the path of least resistance heading slightly NE following some bootpaths. Found the trail just before the summit. There was a guy on the summit preparing to ski down the N face with his dog, so I watched him do that (looks seriously fun) and headed down. Up in an hour, down in 30 minutes. Great day.
Had the day off from work so made the 30 minute drive from bend and did a quick little morning hike, could see as far south as Mt Scott.
