Upper Bighorn Sheep Canyon - Red Rocks section

"Red Rocks" section of the Arkansas River, Colorado The red rocks found here are a result of sediment washed off the "Ancestral Rockies" during the Paleozoic Era. The white water level lines indicate how high the water was in the spring and early summer of 2008 due to the record winter snowfall of 2007-2008.
