Most notable for my 1968 first ascent of Mount Colonel Foster on Vancouver Island. A few other Island first ascents include 1966 El Piveto, the Behinde; 1967 Witch's Hat, the Centaur; 1968 North Peak Colonel Foster, Northwest Peak Colonel Foster, Northeast Peak Colonel Foster, Mount Mitchell, Mount Schoen, Ya'ai Peak, new route on Rugged Mountain; 1970 South Ridge of Elkhorn; 1971 north-south traverse of Colonel Foster; 1972 Shaddowblade; 1973 south-north traverse of Colonel Foster; 1975 Hidden Peak, 1976 Snowband on Colonel Foster, North Ridge and full traverse of Rambler, east-west traverse of Misthorns-Rousseau-Septimus. Beyond the Island, first ascents included a 1971 variation of NE Couloir on Mount Waddington; 1972 solo grand-traverse of Mount Cook, NZ, solo Silberhorn Ridge on Mount Tasman, NZ; 1974 un-named peaks in Stikine Icecap; 1975 Koh-I-Baba in the Hindu Kush, south face direct Torre Stabeler, the Dolomites; 1981 Noel Peak and more un-named peaks in the Stikine Icecap.
