A Little About Me

I'm a mostly self-taught climber, who's done enough things wrong to know a bad idea when it presents itself. I've climbed in jeans, I've worn cotton socks, I've used diaper slings in place of harnesses...lessons learned! My long term goals are remote, extremely technical climbs such as K2, Cerro Torre, and Thor Peak. For now, I spend my winters in the North Cascades, and roam the western coast of the US during the summer. I've been getting less time to climb as of late due to work, but I'm hoping to get out some more this summer.

The Truth: I tend to be massively over-prepared for everything. I'm the guy that brings a bivy sack and a down parka on a day hike. The good thing about that is A) I'm used to carrying lots of weight and B) I'm never without a ball of twine when you need it. Trying my damndest to go light and fast, but it just doesn't come naturally...
