Mountaineers Books is the publishing division of The Mountaineers, a member org of outdoor enthusiasts. Our first book, back in 1960, was Mountaineering: The Freedom of the Hills, which is now in it's ninth edition.
Our mission is to get people outdoors, preserve wild places, and support outdoor enthusiasts, athletes, and artists through quality books that both teach and inspire.
