I'm a interior design student at Kansas State University (not many mountains here ha). I've always loved the mountains, which I began experiencing on my Dad and brother and I's bi-annual trout fishing trips to Colorado about 12 years ago. I recently got the climbing bug after reading (this may seem odd considering the events) Into Thin Air. Since then I've devoured every climbing book I can get my hands on, seen every documentary or tv show I can, etc. I've yet to actually climb any true peaks, and I know I have alot to learn/experience but hopefully that will change soon. I am VERY interested in moving to Seattle or Portland and pursuing my design career there so I can be close to mountains, wilderness, and all the fun that goes along with them. Goals for now (in terms of the outdoors?) Long term: Climb Rainier...no time window on that...whenever I've learned enough, gained some experience and the opportunity arises. My dream trip right now? Everest Base Camp/Khumbu region trek.
