June 1964: I backpacked up Blodgett Creek and over Blodgett Pass down to Big Sand Lake, Duck Creek, Elk Summit RS, Elbow Bend and eventually Moose Creek Ranch before the FS in all their wisdom bought and destroyed that beautiful oasis in the wilderness. Intended to use pack string but could not get over the pass due to deep snow and ice. The trip over the pass was difficult and during very inclement weather as it turned out with terrible visibility. The result was we did not get to see much of what was around us and high winds precluded much off line snooping around. From Big Sand Lake on the trip was fantastic as the elk were moving to the highlands by the hundreds from the Selway area. Would very much like to find a source of photos to supplement a publication I am planning. Any help along those lines would be appreciated.
