Vermilion Indian Paintbrush
At one point along the Avalanche Peak Trail, but before it reaches the cutoff for Hoyt Peak, there is an area through which a stream flows. It's a perfect place for wildflowers. I spied this paintbrush nestled among the bluebells (chiming bells) and couldn't resist taking its picture.
