This had sorely been missing from SP - as well as many of the northern summits of the Ortler Group. Thanks for posting!

Thanks:) It is really not easy to find a "free" summit to describe, but I try to make some more...;)

Nice page, Tomasz, remembers me some chilly moments, with ice covered rocks (in july...!), some31 years ago. All the crevasses on Laaserferner were filled with snow, skis would have been useful !

NE arete

Perhaps the NE arete should be added to the routes section, as this route ist done regularly (marked yellow...) and offers a good combination with the traverse of Hoher Angelus.
NE arete is accessed from Angelusscharte, short + non-crevassed walk across the Laaser Ferner and then gain the arete from the south side. A pole just below the ridge indicates the beginning of the yellow marked route. Nice scrambling UIAA I-II with some snow ridge sections just below the summit.

Nice rework! & some suggestions

Hi Silvia,

Great job you did on reworking this page. It looks real fine, as always :-)
Some suggestions: Maybe you want to put a link on the page (at Accomodation) to the SP-page of the Dusseldorferhuette: https://www.summitpost.org/d-sseldorferh-tte-rifugio-serristori/984741

Furthermore, the route via the Angelusscharte (direclty from the hut) is not advised anymore these days due to increasing danger of rockfall. Most people use the combo with Hoher Angelus to avoid passing here. Also see:

Cheers & happy climbing! Lodewijk

Re: Nice rework! & some suggestions

Thanks for the info, Lodewijk!
I just climbed Cima Vertana some years ago via the route you suggest (combo across the summit of Angelo Grande).
Anyhow if the old route via Angelusscharte is not advisable i will change the info on the page. Unfortunately mountain conditions change everywhere on Earth due to the global warming!
About the link to SP Dusseldorferhuette i am going to add it on my page.
My best wishes of happy climbing for next summer!
Thanks again, Silvia
