View to the west from the...

View to the west from the summit. The canyon in the middle looks like it could have some wicked climbing in it, and it would probably be virtually untouched. Getting out this far is going to be a pretty stinking long day, although doable. It might make a better multiday outing.

I think school's going to screw me over for most of May, so I probably won't be able to make it, although I do think I'm going to be there on April 28-29. I think another guy from OKC and I are going to get a permit, pack in, and hang out in the valley between Charons Garden Mountain and Granite Mountain before going for the canyon and the unnamed peak on day 2. We could probably do it in one day, but I think we're going to try and get a bit of bouldering and such in as well.

Ooops... I meant the 29 and 30. We'll probably be camped somewhere between Charons Garden and Granite--keep your eyes out for us. I think there should be some exceptional climbing in that canyon, and I think we're going to try to access the unnamed peak in the back through the canyon just for the heck of it.
