Kirkridge Shelter

Kirkridge is a concrete and stone shelter with a new wooden top. It sleep 8+ with no tent sites. Water is on a side trail near the Kirkridge Retreat which is closed to hikers.The View from the shelter Water- CharlesD spent a night at Kirkridge and there was no water when he was there. Both times I was there there was water. My guess is the Kirkridge Retreat might turn the pump on and off as they please. Don't depend on the pump for water. The closest shelter along the A.T. north is Brink Road Shelter in New Jersey, over 30 miles away.
