Reminds me of...much of the once-beautiful Ponderosa pine forests of Nebraska's Pine Ridge after being ravaged by major fires in 2006 and 2012.

Re: Reminds me of...The fire in this picture supposedly happened 10 years ago. I did not see signs of a regrowth. Wonder how long that would take.

Re: Reminds me of...Forest service officials with the Nebraska National Forest office said after the Nebraska forest fires that we would not see that forest grow back completely in our lifetimes. I don't know about the New Mexico forests, but the forests in Nebraska were allowed to grow much thicker than what they were naturally before the arrival of our "advanced" civilization. Now the destruction is more extensive, making for a longer recovery.
