July 25th, 2005 - A view towards Silver Lake and Mt Timpanogos from the summit of the American Fork Twin Peaks. Provo Pk is on the left and you can barely see Mt Nebo, the highest mountain in the Wasatch, through the valley haze (center).

Color

I'm impressed with the color in this photo. With all the haze I would expect it to be a lot more washed out than that (as mine are that I took just two days later). Also I could see Nebo better than that. Must be the time of day.

I took this photo at ca. 9 am, so the light was coming from the east. Perhaps from that direction it didn't have as much pollution to cast through before it reflected off of Timp and back to me?
