13832

I camped at the busy Silver-Grizzly Gulch Trailhead Saturday night. I started hiking at 4:13 am. I signed the register and broke out my breakfast. I continued up the good trail to the Redcloud-13832 saddle. I continued up to 13832 finding a decent trail that skirted the south side of 13832. I left the trail soon after it began descending towards the 13832-13632 saddle, gained 13832's east ridge and followed it to the summit. I made it to the top at 7:31 am.

13811

I descended back to the good trail and followed it around 13632's east face. The trail faded here and I continued to the 13811-13632 saddle. The views of Uncompahgre Peak were phenomenal. From here, I continued up the ridge to the 13811. I got to the summit at 8:31 am.

Grassy Mountain

Grassy Mountain is a solid 2.3 miles from 13811. I made the decision to commit to the lengthy ridge run. This was a very scenic ridge. I got to the 13811-Grassy Mountain saddle and followed a faint trail skirting Grassy Mountain's south face. I left the trail and climbed directly towards the summit. I got to the top at 9:36 am. There was a second register placed there on June 14, 2005 by Jennifer Roach. Only one other party signed the register. I took a quick photo of Half Peak & "Quarter Peak" and headed back to the Silver-Grizzly Gulch Trailhead. I got there shortly after 1 pm.
