"high ridge-walk......above 13,000 feet held the essence of what I love about being in the mountains" EXACTLY!!! Thanks for letting me hike vicariously through you. I was going to attempt something similar onthe 28th (Sundog, Sunshine, Redcloud, then the ridge that parallels Silver Creek), but the weather quickly started turing for the worse upon Sundog. After a 2,000' descent, the weather improved. Grrr!
