Introduction

This south west facing crag is a superb sandstone venue in the north of the Northumberland region and offers some of the best routes in the county. It is relatively sheltered and dries quickly but care should be taken, as usual with sandstone, with protection when wet. However there are fantastic tree belay opportunities at the top of most climbs.

There are routes of all grades especially at the Severe to HVS level.

The crag can be found north of Alnwick. Heading north up the A1 take the Fenwick turnoff (B6353) though the village and turn left at the crossroads after you have passed a church on the right (2miles from A1) Park just after the farmhouse with the crag visible on the left.

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
