  Zillertal alps – Hiking in Vizze Valley – Trentino Alto Adige

Getting there:

 From Milan and the Brenner Passhighway A22, exit Sterzing  and follow signs to the Pfitsch Valley/Val di Vizze and the signs to the Pfitsche Joch Haus/ Rifugio passo di Vizze.

 From  Sterzing runs the entire Vizze Valley (Valley Pfitschtal) to the Pfitschtal Pass. With car up to the fourth bend (1806 m). Continue along the north path (information 'Pfitscher Joch ") or followthe road for a short distance to the south-east, then turn left on the path that leads to a pond 3 and the refuge Pfitschtal Joch 2.275m . Continue on the trail (marked 'Hohe Wand ") along the ridgeto the west in the grass. Then guided by cairns of stones among the rocks, you reach the fork Schneescharte (2,789 m), from which you pass on the glacier Stampflkees 2900m. From here beautiful summit panorama: Hochfeiler/ Gran Pilastro 3509m., Rotbachlspitze/ Croda Rossa 2897,Hohe Wand /Croda Alta 3289m, Jochplatte 2100m.
