Reinhold Messner (Bressanone, 17 settembre 1944) is an Italian German native speaker (South Tyrol) mountaineer, explorer and writer. Great rock climber, the protagonist in 1968 of the first degree VII in free, was also the first man in the world to climb all the 14 Eight-thousanders.
