Recent snow made this easy hike... interesting. No register found on the summit, even though I dug around the snow a bit. TR here .
Ascended via Class 3 slabs on east face. No register found.
Nice day hike with Wes and the wives up Rafferty. Wes and I picked a route straight up from the lake on some great slabs
Fun scramble. 8 hours c2c. Remarkable views of Yosemite high country.
The ammo can is still there but someone took the register -- had just a scrap of paper with entries going back to Sept 20. We left a small notebook.
An afternoon romp from the permit office to the summit of this fine peak. Great views and an easy ascent. Wonderful!
Dayhike from Tuolumne Meadows, up the East Face of Vogelsang which was a fun class 2/easy class 3, found the summit register on top, went down the easy class 2 left side gully to the Pass, then went up the ridge northeast and traversed sustained class 2 talus all the way to Parsons. Couldn't find register at the COHP but did find one on top of Parsons. Returning via Ireland Lake and the Lyell Canyon. Long day - Nearly 25 miles in about 11.5 hours. Trip report is HERE
Central face up, left side gully down. I liked the former better. Day hike from Tuolumne Meadows, 9.5 hours round trip with plenty of rest. No register (or I didn't find it). I also didn't know which of the summit rocks is highest, so I tagged them all.
Scrambled up the Vogelsang to finish a long day of solo cross-country backpacking that began near base of Cockscomb.
Had a great hike up and climb up the peak in early season conditions.
Nice hike to the top with a beautiful view far and wide.
Hiked in and camped at Vogelsang Lake with PCS group lead by Joe & Judy. Took the left gully route.
My first major peak ever. Fabulous day and incredible views from the top.
We made camp at Vogelsang Lake and scrambled straight up the face.
Vogelsang - Parsons dayhike out of Tuolumne Meadows. Climbed a steep class 3 route on the East Face. Looks like a rodent (marmot?) destroyed the contents of the summit register. Traversed over to Parsons and returned via Ireland Lake and Lyell Canyon in rain and thunderstorms.
Hiked up from Vogelsgang Camp and climbed the left gully of the East Face with Chris on day 6 of a 7 day trip. The weather was perfect! Great views!
Climbed with wife #1 (Susan Stubblefield) while camping near Vogelsang HSC. I'm sure the view was great (?) !
This was a great day hike on the way to Parsons Peak. It was a clear day with little wind.
