No Room

Not alot of room on that summit. Do you have to downclimb the slab? What is the rating of the slab, and how does it compare to the ratings at Yosemite?

Jay,

the portion you see in the photo is 4th to low 5th class - about 15 - 20 feet from the anchor which is on a nice ramp/ledge. Yeah, you have to downclimb this section back to the anchor. Think the ratings on this south face route were a little disperse - there was a 5.7 finger crack that was a little thin and then there was a supposedly a 5.7 hand crack that was pretty easy (would've given it 5.6 myself I think). Overall, I'd say the route is fairly rated at 5.7. The summit pitch (below what you see in this shot) is rated 5.4 and despite its intimidating appearance is probably right on.
