We encountered these two avalanche paths just past Convict Lake. They appeared to be very recent, having buried the fresh ski tracks we had been following. The slides were clearly natural point releases, triggered by sun-loosened junk from higher up. The tracks were 10-20 meters wide, and ran a few hundred meters in length. From higher up we could see even larger slides of a similar nature in the hanging valley below the north face of Morrison.
