West Portal of Surb Gregor, 1220s, Harich, Armenia

The Surb Gregor (St Gregor the Illuminator) church was added to Harichavank Monastery in the beginning of XIII century. It has this fascinating Muslim-influenced stone-carved portal design of interleaved pentagrams. In the centuries of disrepair, the portal was patched up with a mishmash of votive khachkar cross-stones. As far as I can guess from the more recent photographs, the original geometrical has been restored in the recent years, but I kind of liked the yet-another-creative-use of Armenia's ubiquitous khachkars in there.
