Down the South Side?

I was thinking about doing this traverse last weekend, but the summit at Lone Peak was socked in with clouds and I couldn't see over to Bighorn to access the situation. I was thinking of dropping down from Bighorn on the Alpine side and pass through the 2nd and 1st Hamonogs and get picked up at the water tank. Do you think this is doable? or is it too cliffy (I'm not a technical climer)?

Re: Down the South Side?

I've never been on the south side of Bighorn or to the Hammongogs, so I don't really know. You could definitely drop off the saddle between Bighorn and Lone, but I'm not sure how the traverse over to the Hammongogs would be.

Re: Down the South Side?

Great! Sounds doable then.
