Approach


Togwotee Pass is reached by driving highway 26/287 34 miles east from Moran Junction or 22 miles west from Dubois. 1 mile west of the summit at 9,400 there is a wider shoulder for parking, usually plowed in the winter.

Route Description


Cross the highway and find a use trail leading up the enbankment and into the woods. Follow this north and begin contouring into the obvious drainage, staying high above the creek below. The creek is in a steep gulch until timberline. Just before reaching timberline, locate the best place for crossing. Continue up meadows to the summit.
