What a Difference a Year Makes

This is the north side of Big Fog Mountain in July 2007. Compare it to the large photo at the top of the Big Fog Mountain page, which was taken in August of 2008. 2007 was a dry year and 2008 was a cooler, moister year. Though the 2008 photo was taken weeks later in the year than the 2007 photo, there is much more residual snow and spring conditions. There are places in the Crags where the snow definitely did not melt during the summer of 2008.
