Re: Anya ... please!Yes, Mark's tadpoles look very much like the tadpoles of the Pacific Treefrogs I have seen this spring. I know because there were many adult frogs nearby and I know for sure that toads don't breed in that pond. It belongs only to the frogs.
The only other tadpoles I'm familiar with are those of a Red-spotted Toad, but they are much darker almost black. Frog tadpoles seem to be semi-transparent, but I don't know if that's the case with all the frog species. I've never seen Mark's photo before. Thanks for pointing it out.
